I was doing my normal rounds on the internet and checking out all the latest news when I stumbled upon this awesome clip. Seems that two developers left Ubisoft because they wanted to make a horror game. They broke off and formed Red Barrels which includes ex-employees of both Ubisoft and Naughty Dog, so the company already has an awesome pedigree. Their debut game will be a PC digital distribution title called Outlast.

The basic story of the game is about a reporter, Miles Upshur, breaking into an abandoned asylum to see what a mega-corporation's recent interest is in it. From there it seems to be you will uncover clues all while only armed with your night-vision video camera and your wits. No combat is the name of the game. Stealth and hiding jump into the driver's seat because you will have no weapon although most likely you will find some items to help you avoid and evade the denizens of the mansion. Personally it looks really exciting because with the Resident Evil franchise running away from the survival aspects and possibly Dead Space 3, we need another good title in this genre. I know I will be picking it up on Steam when it finally comes out the summer of 2013.

Hello folks, Detz here. Some of you may know that I love my zombie films. Well everything zombie really and this started before the upswing in zombie love, so it's legit. I must say Max Brooks has written a couple interesting books on the subject, The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. The rights to the latter book were picked up the same year it came out by Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B. The book doesn't follow the normal path of most books. It is more of a collection of stories over a ten year period which describe how the war against the zombies affects the environment, religions, politics, and social structure of the world. To say the least I have been excited to see how this movie will play out. Sadly, the trailer does not elicit the same response I was hoping for. While it certainly seems chock full of action and entertaining in that aspect, nothing else seems right about it. I understand the way the story is told from one person's perspective makes it easier to write but I think it would have been better with the original concept. Add to that the fact that the CGI zombie swarm looks horrible. It certainly looks fake and it makes me almost want to boycott this film. What do you think? Check out the new trailer below and let me know what you think. Hopefully some new clips will be released which will change my mind.

Of course when it comes to remakes, people become skeptical. Heck I am even skeptical but I like to keep an open mind and appreciate how a different director tells a story. That's why I am really excited after seeing this new trailer for the Evil Dead. Now I know some other die-hard fans will cry foul on the increase of gore and nit-pick every little scene. To that I point out that I wouldn't want it to be the same as the original or else I might as well go watch that. Change can be good. Jane Levy will be the focal person this time around instead of the always awesome Bruce Campbell. He takes a backseat this time and helps his buddy Sam Raimi(original director) produce while Fede Alvarez takes the directors chair. Personally I am just glad they are keeping some of the most iconic elements of the alive and using them in different ways. This film looks like it will obviously benefit from the advances that have been made in film-making over the last 30 years. Alright, alright, I'm done gushing over it. Check out the finally released red band trailer for The Evil Dead. Warning: this is NSFW and also not suitable for minors.

Another Comic Con and once again - The Chin Is In!! Bruce Campbell is back again this year at Wizard World Chicago and of course his Q&A panel was as entertaining as always. His unique humor and wit kept the crowd on their toes and smiling during the whole session. Beside taking time out to heckle the crowd he especially poked fun at a Hawaiian shirt wearing attendee, and promised us we won't hate the remake of Evil Dead which he has seen and said it coming out in April 2013. Bruce even took time out to help teach a kid how to fight, right after he got done making fun of his name. If you like to laugh, then watch the video above and don't blame us if your sides start to hurt.

So today we unfortunately can not bring you a separate post for cospay hotties because the day was so packed with getting ready to leave, the Stan Lee Q&A, and going around getting interviews with different booths. It's not to say that there wasn't some good cosplay today, especially really cute ones of children since today was family day. It's just that we had our hands tied with other priorities. So at the very least here is all the cosplay that we were able to capture on the final day of Wizard World Chicago 2012.
