Microsoft Bing Now Offers An Edge In Your Fantasy Football League
Looking for an edge in your fantasy football league? Trying to gather just one more opinion before you lock in your starters for the week? Then give Microsoft Predicts a try.
Starting this season, Bing is using its prediction algorithms to project how NFL players will perform each week. The search engine already predicts winners and losers of NFL games, but now Bing is offering up individual projections meant to help people set their fantasy football lineups.
Bing Predicts launched in April 2004 where it predicted the outcomes of popular TV shows like The Voice, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. It has since expanded into sports predictions as well as award shows and elections. For the 2014 NFL season Bing had a prediction accuracy of 67 percent, and picked New England Patriots to win it all in mid-December.
Now there are plenty of other fantasy prediction engines out there, but adding one more to your arsenal can’t hurt. Bing’s projections are made by analyzing information from the web and social signals. The predictions also take into account recent games, match-ups, roster changes, and even coaching staff updates — anything that may influence how a player performs that particular week.
With its NFL predictions, Bing wants to create more of a one stop shop for football fans, who can also easily access game location, time, broadcast network, scoring updates, and post-game highlights while using the search engine.
So if your looking to add some more data to ensure you’ve put the best team down on paper then try adding Bing to your fantasy locker room.
