Looking For A Vanity URL For Google Plus?

Are you really getting into Google Plus but wishing there was an easier way to direct people to your posts just like Facebook and Twitter? Well unfortunately Google+ doesn’t offer vanity URLs for user profiles as they could lead to spammers figuring out the email addresses of millions of Google+ users.  By default your Gmail username is linked to your Google Profile for e.g. http://profiles.google.com/<your_gmail_username>/. This could also be a safety precaution after the Google Buzz privacy nightmare. Since Google+ is in a development stage, Google doesn't seem to take any chance with any experiment that can go wrong.

To help make things easier, check out Gplus.to. This simple website lets you create a short URL for your Google+ page, making it easy to share with your friends. Mine, for example, is Gplus.to/jasoncarrick, and DayOldStubble's is Gplus.to/dayoldstubble which is much easier to remember than a random strong of numbers.
