Green Gift Guide: Ideas for a Green Christmas

We're all technology geeks here at Day Old Stubble but sometimes its good to give back to the environment as not all our our gadgets are built to be Earth friendly.

Here are a couple of environmentally responsible gifts people can give and celebrate in a green way. Remember not everyone is as gonzo as we are about modern technology.

1. A water saving showerhead for that eco-friendly person in your life. You can try putting together a gift basket with spa items for the bathroom, along with a new showerhead that conserves water usage during every shower.

2. Rechargeable batteries are a good green and fiscally responsible gift this time of year.  Chances are most youngsters will getting electronics this year that require batteries to run. Not only can rechargeable batteries ensure game play is green they can also save on continually buying new ones when the electronics stop working.

3. A push mower. Why not give that special handyman a push reel mower that doesn't produce emissions or make a lot of noise. There is nothing more hip that being Retro and not only do you accomplish this with a push mower but this is a great form of exercise, which most of use Geeks sure can use.

4. A solar powered device charger: let you charge your phones and other devices with the power of the sun instead of using expensive electricity.
