Following Mall of America leads to VIP Parking

Mall Of AmericaThe Saturday before Christmas is known to be the second busiest shopping day of the year. With the National Retail Federation announcing that  37 million people have yet to start their holiday shopping this season, you can expect stores to be packed.

Mall of America is looking to reward it's loyal Twitter followers with VIP parking this year. They are launching the Big Secret Parking Party to help ease the turmoils of parking during this high traffic time. For the first time ever, they will close the north surface parking lot to the general public reserving 96 parking spots, on Dec. 18,  for registered Twitter followers.

"We want to reward loyal Twitter followers with something extremely coveted during the holiday shopping season – a close parking spot without the hassle of a time consuming search," said Dave Haselman, executive vice president of operations at Mall of America. "We hope this service will be an added value as well as increase our follower base. Our goal is to find success in the event, which will allow us to build on it in the near future."

The Mall of America twitter account can be found at www.twitter.com/MallofAmerica. For details regarding this event, search for the hashtag #bspp and for updates specific to parking, use the hashtag #moaparking.
